Summertime in Minneapolis just might be the city’s best season, and with so much to do, it seems like we’ll never be able to try it all. But have no fear, foodies: one of the best ways to check out the Twin Cities’ foodie scene is bit by bit—or food truck by food truck!

On July 10 and 11, the 21st annual Basilica Block Party promises us two days of awesome music and delicious food. Along with some Minneapolis staples and favorites, the BBP will also host three new food trucks this year. Here’s the lowdown on where to get your new grub during the BBP.

Que Viet

Que Viet is all about authenticity and doing Asian cuisine the right way. With some seriously tasty Vietnamese pork egg rolls—often found on a stick at festivals—and of course some mouthwatering Chinese donuts, this place has us hooked. But don’t worry if you don’t get enough at the festival, you can always visit the Que Viet Village House in Minneapolis.

Gastrotruck

This truck has been all around Minneapolis, finding new foodie fans along the streets of downtown, uptown and everywhere in between. Whether Gastrotruck is giving us a reason to grab another craft beer to pair with at a local event, or it’s around to make our lunch break even better, they’re always cooking up something good. And when we say good, we’re not just talking about the taste. This truck focuses on sustainable practices and uses environmentally responsible suppliers for a zero waste operation. Local suppliers, seasonal ingredients, what could be better?

Refill MN

With a slogan like “feed yourself, feed your neighbor,” Refill MN is all about sharing the foodie culture. That’s right, Refill MN isn’t here just for the festivals, but they’re here to raise awareness about hunger in Minnesota, too. With plans for awareness campaigns and meal donations, the operation is proving to be way more than just a food truck. While you’re jamming at the BBP, make sure to stop by and get a piece of that pay-it-forward foodie culture.

What We’re Hoping is on their BBP Menu: Psst! Refill MN’s menu is still under wraps, but we can’t wait to see their options!

Lucky for us foodies, food trucks at festivals like the Basilica Block Party give us reasons to sample everything! In addition to the awesome headliners and local musicians, be sure to stop by and support these local foodies too!
