Executive Chef Jim Kyndberg creates inventive five course tea-infused menu

MINNEAPOLIS (January 8, 2015) – FireLake Grill House & Cocktail Bar Minneapolis Downtown

(31 S 7th St) invites diners to warm up this winter with an exclusive tea-infused Rishi Tea Dinner event on January 28, 2015 at 6 p.m. in partnership with Rishi Tea.  Executive Chef Jim Kyndberg has created an innovative five course menu featuring Rishi Tea. Each course incorporates a different tea variety showcasing the delicate balance of flavors between ingredients.

For a truly memorable and interactive experience, guests will be guided through the dinner with an introduction to each course by Executive Chef Kyndberg and Jessica Conley, Rishi Tea. Guests will learn about the inspiration for each course as well as the history of each tea variety used.

Rishi Tea, based in Milwaukee, uses organic practices and has 100% traceability. Master tea blenders have studied the tradition and craftsmanship of the handmade process from start to finish that is used today.

First Course

Savory coconut custard, ginger lime rooibos, salmon roe, crisp parsnip

Green Tea Gin Fizz

Green Tea infused Beefeaters Gin, ginger simple syrup, lime juice, Bolivar Bitters, topped with

Second Course

Cinnamon plum cured pork belly, scallop noodles, ginseng broth

Apple Blueberry Tequila Punch

Blueberry hibiscus infused Altos Reposado Tequila, Cointreau, honey syrup, lime juice, apple cider

Third Course

Wild Acres Pheasant, masala chai, ash roasted yams, Seckel pear

Spiced Chai Mule

Spiced chai infused Alander Spiced Rum, lemon juice, simple syrup, cranberry juice,

splash of ginger beer

Fourth Course

Block cut New York Strip, tea smoked mushrooms, Ceylon fried wild rice

Fifth Course

Darjeeling chocolate soufflé, Earl Grey whipped honey cream
