I graduated from the University of Minnesota in 2010 and completed my MBA at Augsburg College in 2016 with an emphasis in Marketing. I studied nutrition during my undergraduate career while waitressing part-time at a fine-dining restaurant in downtown Minneapolis.
My love for food comes from growing up in an Iranian-American household where my mom cooked Persian food from scratch almost everyday, which allowed me to expand my palate. Also, I was exposed to the restaurant industry at a very young age as my parents owned a franchise for over 20 years. This is where I learned all the different facets of running a restaurant and was able to dabble in everything from proper cleaning practices to customer service to marketing.
In 2017, I joined the Minnesota Cuisine Committee as the Social Media Lead extending invitations to civic-minded foodie influencers donating their time to the Minnesota Food campaign. Most recently, I have collaboratively launched The Influencer Market Project to provide foodie influencer personalities with access to national brands and other new opportunities.
