New Look, Who 'Dis?!
First off … welcome to our spankin’ new website! Take a look around.
Six years ago, I started with an idea to share my lifestyle to the world with the goal to unite fellow food lovers and to highlight the best of the Twin Cities food scene.
This was before the influencer phenomena, and taking photos of your food in public was received with perplexed and uncomfortable stares.
The mission of Eat.Drink.Dish was always to support local businesses - Eat Local. Drink Local. Support Local. - and that’s always been the core and the ‘why.’ That’s not to say we don’t collaborate with national brands or businesses, but it remains our ‘north star.’
Many don’t know, but the platform was initially going to be called Eat.Drink.Bitch. A blog about my 20-something lifestyle as a broke and bored millennial going out to restaurants with friends and bitching about our lives.
That was quickly vetoed (but not before I took a screenshot of the potential website as seen above), because at that moment in my life I wanted to make a huge transformation in my thought process and I didn’t want to pursue something creatively that forced me to seek out negativity.
I thrive on challenges and I wanted to see if I could rewire my brain to become more positive-minded by forcing myself to create daily content (posting 2x a day for 3 years straight to start) that promoted one of my many passions, food.
After a few hours of brainstorming, the word Bitch was replaced with the word Dish and Eat.Drink.Dish MPLS was born.
Now, we’re in 2020. A whole new decade that deserves a whole new look.
Change is good, and as a marketing consultant I always urge my clients to create a strong brand identity and to encourage them to evolve with the times in order to remain relevant.
Especially if your brand relies heavily on social media.
Furthermore, a brand new exciting project is in the works that was a catalyst for this change. We will have more details coming spring 2020!

Lastly, I like to thank my good friend, Teresa Tran, who is the creative mastermind behind the new design and image of Eat.Drink.Dish MPLS.
It sets the stage for a new chapter and for a chance to take on another six years!

All in all, even though we have a new look we are still all about that foodie life.
