The Twin Cities' Only Ping Pong Club & Bar is BACK Just in Time for Summer!

Sponsored: It’s summertime, and the living is … quarantined.

We watched the snow melt and the days become longer and warmer all from the comfort of our homes. Since March, we have been reaping the benefits of isolation because of COVID-19.

The summer season is a sacred time for Minnesotans.

Sure, it may get hot, but nothing beats sweating it out while drinking a cold beer or cocktail with the fam and friends.

With our beloved food and bar establishments slowly opening back up, they are working around the clock to strategize how their operations will fit the “new norm.”

We are SO excited to share that Hop 21, the Twin Cities’ one and ONLY Ping Pong Club and Bar, has reopened!

What to expect at Hop21?

Hop21 is bit of a hidden gem. Located underground, it has 6 social-distance-friendly ping pong tables, pull tabs, a 200” projection screen, bar games, photo booth, and a jukebox that gives it the casual hangout vibe that never gets old.

With a full bar consisting of many signature mules (new non-alcoholic Mule menu — coming soon!), a large assortment of beer, seltzer, cider, and wine to pair with a variety of Heggie’s Pizza — Hop21 is the place to go with a few friends for a guaranteed good time!

Hop21 has arranged their 4,000 sq. ft. venue to make it a safe space for everyone by giving each ping pong table its own seating and tables.

This setup also creates a natural barrier for you and your group.

The staff isn’t taking the safety measures lightly either as they are frequently cleaning and sanitizing high traffic and public areas while wearing personal protection gear.

A word from the owner

We're very excited to finally be allowed to re-open the bar, and we're looking forward to seeing our friends return safely to enjoy our venue once again,” says Max Vinogradov, the founder and owner of Hop21.

“I want personally to assure our guests that we're taking every measure and precaution in an effort to make everyone feel safe and comfortable at our bar. We appreciate your trust and your business!”

What’s coming soon and how do you reserve a table?

Hop 21 is coming back into the game (literally) with a Monday and Wednesday night Ping Pong League, Industry Nights on Sundays (coming soon), and are open to hosting personal and corporate events and celebrations.

During the summer, they are offering free ping pong Monday thru Thursday and Sunday nights with a purchase of a drink (restrictions may apply).

You can find them in downtown Minneapolis on the corner of Washington Avenue and 5th Street at 501 Washington Ave South.

Their hours are 4 PM-10 PM Sunday to Thursday, and 4 PM-12 AM Friday and Saturday.

Make your reservation here, and don’t miss $4 local drafts and premium rails during happy hour between 4 PM-6 PM Monday through Friday.
