If you have not already heard, COVID-19 has pulled everyone out of their normal, everyday routines and has rapidly altered the reality that we once knew. One day we’re looking up happy hour destinations and the next we’re instructed to stay in our homes.

As a community, we need to stand together and support each industry keeping the hardworking people within mind. Especially the hardworking staff within the service industry.

Midtown Global Market, located in Midtown Phillips, Minneapolis, is one of the many food businesses that is currently doing everything they can to continue business behind their closed doors.

ABOUT MIDTOWN GLOBAL MARKET

The internationally-themed market houses over 40 local entrepreneurs, which unite the cultural and dynamic community it’s known for in the Twin Cities.

Midtown Global Market is owned and operated by two non-profits, the Cultural Wellness Center and the Neighborhood Development Center. Together, they have created a venue of culture that highlights talent, creativity, and diversity through unique traditional cuisines and handmade products.

During this recent pandemic, Midtown Global Market is keeping patrons in mind by not only providing delivery services from Eastlake Craft Brewery, but by keeping the doors to their three grocery stores - Holy Land, Produce Exchange, and Grass Roots Gourmet - open.

ABOUT THE MIDTOWN GROCERS

Holy Land is an award-winning healthy Mediterranean grocer that embraces their customers as if they were family. They are dedicated to provide fresh and authentic Lebanese, Arabic, Middle Eastern, and Mediterranean products at an affordable price point.

Open Sunday-Thursday 9am-9pm, Friday & Saturday 9am-9:30pm

Grass Roots Gourmet is a locally sourced grocery and deli. They also have a grab and go lunch during the week that includes farmstead meat and dairy, a regional cheese case, artisan cured meats, honey, and more.

Open Monday-Friday 8am-8pm, Saturday 9am-8pm, Sunday 10am-6pm

Produce Exchange is a proclaimed indoor farmer’s market that carries both locally and globally sourced food items. They offer natural and organic products that include fruits and vegetables, seasonal specialties, and gluten-free options.

The grocery stores will continue to focus on frequent and recommended cleaning practices, such as surface wiping of all hard surfaces, including door handles, coolers, counter tops, tables and restrooms.
